Matthew 6:33

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow:for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Screen Shot 2015-09-30 at 10.54.47 AM

This is not a book about dead religiosity BUT rather about a vibrant growing deep relationship with God.

This is not a book about deep knowledge BUT rather about a deep living faith.

This is not a book about doing BUT rather a book about becoming.

This book will reveal to the reader that God is not some mysterious entity out there somewhere BUT rather a personal loving heavenly Father who is as close as their own hearts

A God who wants to fellowship with them as He did in the Garden of Eden.

This book will strip away layer by layer of the inherent mystery the enemy has made of God’s children hearing His voice.

This book will guide and take you on a journey into His presence.

Key scriptures Matthew 6:6 / Mark 4:6 / John 10:3 -5 / Jeremiah18:2 / Jeremiah 33:3

Staying On Purpose

When I first had the notion to dress my Westie and Scottie to attend the Celtic Classic I had no idea of the time, imagination and commitment it would take. Sewing a kilt is one thing but fitting a kilt on a dog is quite another thing. As I tried to fit the dogs it seemed almost impossible. However I was determined for my philosophy is “failure is not an option!”

But the satisfaction and fulfillment that comes from completing a job is so worth all the preparation, time, creativity, talent and late nights. It even took the patience of my puppies to try on and model continually LOL

But to see the joy it brought to children as they petted the dogs, the smiles that softened even the hardest hearts as they stopped to say “Ah how cute!” and snap a photo, made the completion of my work so worthwhile.

This principal can be applied to any assignment in life.

Although not very spiritual this was a window to my soul of the joy of staying the course regardless of the obstacles and finishing any assignment the Lord places in my heart, whether it be writing, teaching, reaching the lost unto the utter most parts of the world or even just being a blessing to someone everyday and causing them to smile.

Luke 14:28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, not sitteth down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it.

And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God

Pets Are Certainly Part of the Family

As we attended the Celtic Festival in Bethlehem Pa today our wee Westie, Iona, and our Scottie, Mr.Knightly were certainly part of the family, and stole the show all dressed up in their Scottish regalia. When my daughters were small I enjoyed sewing for them and dressing them up. Now that the girls are all grown up and gone from home I enjoyed sewing for my furry children this week and dressing them up to show off their Scottish heritage amongst the parade of hundreds of colorful tartans and the air filled with the sounds of the highlands on the swirl of the bagpipes. It was like taking my wee family to Scotland for the day without crossing the Atlantic Ocean.
