The first time you receive divine guidance you will know the difference. You can mistake rhinestones for diamonds but you can never mistake diamonds for rhinestones! “Developing a Secret History with God” Page 115

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

John 10:4-5 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

Invest Time In Friendship Today

IMG_1430

What rich fellowship I had spending time with my dear sister in the Lord, Lourdes Rodriguez. We have walked many journeys together from weeping to rejoicing and many experiences in between just doing life together.

To have a rich life we must invest time with each other, encouraging, edifying, exhorting, weeping and rejoicing, sharing heart to heart, because wealth is measured in the amount of genuine friends we have in our lives.

Unfortunately we all live hectic busy lives today but you know it is not really a matter of busyness it is a matter of priorities.

I try to add wealth to my life everyday by the line from the old gospel song “If I can help somebody as I pass along then my living will not be in vain”

Romans 12:15-16 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. Be of the same mind one toward another.

Enrich your life today by walking with the King and being a blessing!

Share A Cup Of Tea With Someone Today

Screen Shot 2016-08-15 at 2.54.39 PM

Having been raised in Belfast Northern Ireland I know how true this quote is to my upbringing. In Belfast “ a cup of tea is the answer to anything.” I don’t know if it is actually the cup of tea or the sociability of chatting to someone, and just sharing life, for a problem shared is a problem halved. Perhaps this is where the quote originated “Where there is a cup of tea there is hope.”

I think my fellow Ulster man and scholar, C.S.Lewis, who was born and raised in Belfast, thought the same way for he has been known to have said “ No cup of tea is ever big enough or book long enough to satisfy me.”
As believers we all know that Christ is our hope, yet fellowship around a nice wee cup of tea can edify the soul and build our hope in Him.Take the time for a cup of tea with someone today and be His Hand extended to encourage, comfort and bring hope.

2 Corinthians 1:4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

A Window To My Soul

As I daily glance out my kitchen window overlooking my garden I admire the beauty of His Creation. But then as I open my spiritual eyes it is also a school room of spiritual lessons.

1. Seed sowing teaches me that I reap what I sow.

2. Pruning produces more blooming.

3. Root structure is the most important part of the plant.

4. Plants and trees with deep roots will survive times of drought.

5. The importance of daily watering.

6. A fertilized plant will be able to fight disease.

7. Check regularly for signs of parasites.

8. Never transplant in the heat of the day.

Read much more about these parables from my garden in

“DEVELOPING A SECRET HISTORY WITH GOD”

Luke 8:4 And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable:

He still speaks to us by parables.

CHALLENGE: Open your spiritual eyes for windows to your soul in everyday life.

My Audience of One

Screen Shot 2016-08-09 at 10.08.11 AM

On a sunny day in June, I was sitting in my garden of prayer, where I daily converse with the Lord. I admit I had a discouraged heart that morning, and found myself wondering if all my hours of labor on my website was in vain, not knowing if it was bringing life to others. God used this moment to speak this word of exhortation to my heart.

Dear Child,

Listen to the birds, look at the beauty of the roses! The birds sing unto Me regardless if man appreciates them or applauds them! The roses bloom and scent the air, regardless if man appreciates them or applauds them! They fulfill the purpose of their creation, regardless of appreciation or applause from man.

They bring glory to My Name, by naturally without reasoning or questioning, doing that which, I, the Creator planned for them. They do it just to bring Me joy!

Child, may your life continue to blossom,

May your life continue to give fragrance,

Regardless of appreciation or applause from man!

The birds don’t reason, nobody is appreciating my song, so I won’t sing today!

Nor do the roses reason, nobody is admiring me today, so I will stop blooming and giving fragrance!

Child, do not reason or question, simply sing, bloom and gave fragrance through your writing just for Me!

                                                           Thus saith Papa

1 Corinthians 15:58  Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Rev. 4:11  Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

CHALLENGE: May this word of exhortation encourage your heart as it did mine, and remind you of “Your Audience of One” who sees and knows all your labor of love.
