Baptism of Holy Spirit

As the church celebrated the Feast of Pentecost last Sunday ushering in the birth of the church, I wanted to inspire your walk with a short teaching on the glorious baptism of the Holy Spirit.

CHALLENGE: I ask you today as Paul asked the Ephesian church “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” And they said, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit. Acts 19:2

May you be blessed and inspired by my short video on the mighty Baptism of the Holy Spirit

which I pray will answer some of your questions.

Investing The Gift of Time in a Friendship

Thank you to my dear friend Minnie Wimmer for the gift of your time today, chatting, encouraging one and other, fellowshipping , and playing together even if it is just sharing the weeding in my garden. LOL

Invest time in a friendship today that you have been neglecting and do not take the gift of that friendship for granted. Someone needs your time today!

Proverbs 13:24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly

Freedom is Not Free!

It was an honor for John and I both to serve in the Royal Air Force. On this Memorial Day as we remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice may we all appreciate the freedom we enjoy today that cost so many so much.

God’s Miracle on 34th.Street

Two years ago tonight on May 20th I was lying in a hospital bed in the University of Pennsylvania on 34th.Street in Philadelphia with my left side paralyzed after suffering a stroke during heart surgery, unaware of the seizure that was to follow the next day.

Tonight as I write this post I am remembering with such thanksgiving and will never forget God’s grace and power in my life when He restored my life after that stroke and seizure. The doctors advised my husband that I could possibly get some of my mobility back after 6 months of therapy. My mobility returned after only two days to the amazement of the doctors at the University of Pennsylvania. No more than I am amazed by His mercy! Although I have been a Bible teacher for over 40 years I now know the urgency to wisely invest the years He extended to me by sharing the gospel through any avenue He sees fit to open to reach the lost, pray for the sick and edify the saints.

I am forever grateful for all my family here and abroad, all the friends around the world and all those whom I may never even meet who prayed for and ministered to me during this testing period.

Philippians 1:3 I thank my God in all my remembrance of you!

A Window To My Soul.

thumb_IMG_5312_1024

Surrounded by two of my great loves, my flowers and my puppies, was a window to my soul today. I considered if the Lord could create these beautiful fragrant flowers how much more is the beauty and fragrance of their Creator! While my Westie and Scottie who bring such joy to my life especially the way they love me so unconditionally, remind me of the unconditional love of the Lord which never ceases.

Look around you today for a window to your soul to bring a fresh appreciation of “often taken for granted” gifts from the Hand of God which will bring you such joy and happiness. What can you have a fresh appreciation for today?
