Preparing Our Hearts for Easter

Dear Papa,

Help me to die daily as I present my life and body as a living sacrifice. May I die to self this day and live only unto thee.

Dear Child,

My Son died once and for all, but to identify with His resurrection life, you must die daily, that daily you may walk in resurrection life.

He died once but you must die daily.

Resurrection life can only follow death! No death, no resurrection life!

Only resurrection life has power and anointing.

Only resurrection life can produce fruit for eternity.

Each seed and fruit produces after its own kind.

Only that which is birthed by resurrection life will never die.

Child, it is not about more power, it is about more dying!

And then power will automatically flow from the resurrection life that follows.

                                              Thus saith Papa

Philippians 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

2 Corinthians 4:7-12 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed. Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.  For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. So then death worketh in us, but life in you.

We must first die to self if the power of the resurrection life is to flow from our lives.

By His sovereignty, God uses circumstances of verses 8 and 9 above, to break us, that resurrection life may flow from us. “He who puts his trust only in spiritual gifts is being foolish, for such gifts do not necessarily work that transformation in the inner man. It is only out of brokenness that there can come forth life.” Watchman Nee

CHALLENGE: If we do not die to self, we cannot bear the mark of resurrection power in our lives or ministry..

I am Hanging on a Branch Of the True Vine

Screen Shot 2014-03-28 at 9.45.35 AM

Dear Father,

Protect me from myself, that is my own self-confidence, for in the day of trial it will fail me.

Protect me with a confidence that only comes from my total trust and dependence on You, and my relationship to You, because of Your mercy and grace paid for by the precious blood of the spotless Lamb of God.

Help me in my daily walk, that I will not deny your presence in my life by my actions and words before the world.

Help me realize more and more that time spent with You is not a nonproductive activity but rather my very life line to the power to live for You!

Dear Child,

Draw near more and more, that I may teach you, that I may feed you manna from heaven and the water that will give you eternal life, and will refresh you daily during your pilgrim walk.

It is easy not to deny Me while in My presence in the *Holy Place, the test is when you leave to walk in the* Outer Court, where you mix with the world. It was before sinners that Peter denied Me! Walk in the *Outer Court in the strength which I will impart to you in the *Holy Place, not in your own strength and self-confidence. Self will fail you! For self must die!

Many worship Me in church but the test comes when they leave My house! It is not how high you jump before Me, but how straight you walk in the *Outer Court. Many swear their love for Me in My presence, but when the test comes in the *Outer Court, they deny Me by their actions and words!

Lean on Me and allow self to die! That I might rule and guide you in your walk!

Have confidence in who “I AM”.

                                           Thus saith Papa

John 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

Zechariah 4:6  Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

Challenge: Are you battling in the spiritual realm, clothed only in the armor of self confidence in your own fleshly will-power, or are you totally relying on and yielding to the power of the indwelling Spirit?

*The Holy Place is a type of the church where priests would draw near to minister to God.

*The Outer Court is a type of the world where the priests would minister to others.

Adversities will Stretch those Spiritual Muscles

Screen Shot 2014-02-27 at 10.21.40 AM

Dear Child,

Adversities are the lessons of life, that exercise your spiritual muscles and make you healthy and strong. The more battles you fight, the more victories you will win!

Battles fought in the mind will eventually effect the physical, if not won in the battlefield of the mind, so bring every thought into the captivity of Christ.

Child, you are body, soul and spirit, be a good steward of each.

Exercise your body muscles and be strong physically!

Exercise your mind and be strong in your convictions!

Exercise your spiritual muscles and stand strong against the powers of darkness!

                                                       Thus saith Papa

In the PHYSICAL realm you must have a resistance program if you want healthy, strong muscles. Without resistance, strength cannot be produced.

In the MENTAL realm we must resist in the battlefield of the mind and bring every thought into the captivity of Christ. Only then will we have strong Godly convictions.

2 Corinthians.10:4-5 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

In the SPIRITUAL realm we also have a resistance program against the enemy of our souls. When we submit ourselves to God, we will have the power to resist the devil, which will result in strong, healthy spiritual muscles.

James 4:7  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

1 Peter.5:8-10 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

CHALLENGE: Do you feel defeated when you try to resist the devil, because you haven’t first warmed up your spiritual muscles by submitting the situation to God?

An Agent of His Grace

Screen Shot 2014-02-24 at 10.16.21 AM

Dear Father,

As I reflect this day on your great mercy and grace towards me, I ask that you will help me grow in grace and mercy towards others. Help me to be truly “charismatic” which means gracious, merciful and forgiving. Thank you for Your work in my heart today.

Dear Child,

To grow in grace means to grow to be merciful and have a forgiving spirit, even as I have a forgiving spirit.

To grow in My grace and be conformed to My Image, you must have a forgiving spirit.

An unforgiving spirit is of your old father of lies.

If you learn of Me you will be forgiving by putting on the mind of Christ who cried, “Forgive them for they know not what they do!”

When you are forgiving you are putting Me on!

When you refuse to let go, you are holding unto the old man.

                                                            Thus saith Papa

Mattthew 18:32  Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?

2 Peter 3:18  But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Often we grow in knowledge but lack growth in grace! We need grace to work out that knowledge in everyday life. If we lack the grace to forgive we need to humble ourselves before God for as the scripture says James 4:6  But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

Gain grace from God that you may be able to let others’ debts go!

Forgiveness is not denial but dealing with it as far as is within your power. It takes two to reconcile but that may not be within your control BUT remember it only takes one to forgive and that is a choice that is within your control.

CHALLENGE: Ask the Holy Spirit to search the hidden recesses of your heart today, for perhaps a neglected opportunity to grow in grace by forgiving a buried hurt or offense.

Walk the Way of the Word

Screen Shot 2014-02-21 at 10.14.58 AM

Dear Child,

Take heed and walk the words I feed you, only then will that manna remain fresh, or else it will become the stench of hypocrisy.

To stay fresh and stay alive you must digest it that it may become part of every cell of your being.

Just as Israel ate of the manna which I provided, only that which they ate did not deteriorate and begin to stink.

Hypocrisy is a stench! Words but no walk!

Only that which you walk will give life to others! The rest is dead works!

                                                         Thus saith Papa

Luke 12:1 Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

James 1:22  But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

John 6:63  It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

During Israel’s wandering in the wilderness God provided them manna everyday to feed upon. They had to pick it fresh every morning, early before the heat of the sun melted it. The manna deteriorated if not eaten that same day, IT COULD NOT BE STORED IF NOT ABSORBED. What a lesson that is to us! Similarly we must feed on the nutrients of the Word everyday but only that which we swallow and absorb can we store by hiding it in our hearts. Only while it is stored in our hearts will our manna stay fresh as it becomes part of our very being, the same way a piece of physical bread becomes part of us as we swallow it and it takes nutrients of life to every cell of our body. Our manna takes spiritual life to every fiber of our being that we may live by the Word. Only as we choose to obey does the Word become alive, otherwise it is only the cold letter of the Word.

To ‘ABSORB’ means ‘ to take in and appropriate’ or ‘to make part of the existent whole’.

Many today are suffering from spiritual anorexia where the heavenly manna gets no further than their minds or at most they only chew it over due to a lack of appetite. While others are weak because of spiritual bulimia where they may swallow the word but it is thrown up because they do not obey it and appropriate it to their lives.

CHALLENGE: Is there the stench of hypocrisy in our lives from “thrown up” words, which we do not walk?
