On The Road Again

IMG_0760

Before leaving for Coimbatore early Wednesday morning we enjoy our last breakfast in the hotel we’ve called home for the past 10 days. For the first time we shared a table with other guests sharing the goodness of the Lord and to our surprise find out they were believers. Never thought I’d be witnessing and taking a photo without a hairdo and makeup LOL. Shows we need to be ready in season and out of season to share the hope that is within us!

We leave Bangalore saying a sad au revoir to Pastor Frederick who has been so gracious to us. He was supposed to travel in the cab with us to ensure we arrived safely at our next destination. But unfortunately his mother became very ill during the night and rushed to hospital. The Lord was so good to us for we find our cab driver not only speaks English but is a believer.

It was a six hour ride and we watched with interest as we passed rice fields, coconut palm orchards, goat farms, monkeys on the side of the road and signs warning of “Elephant Crossings” as the terrain became more mountainous. We passed hundreds of scooters with several passengers.

We stop after three hours for a mini break at a beautiful hotel, and arrive in Coimdatore three hours later. Our cab driver had some problem getting direction to our destination as he didn’t speak the local language! There are at least 28 main languages in India as there are 28 states each having their own languages with many different dialects. Local pastors told us this makes the spread of the gospel more difficult.

We eventually arrive safely at our destination where we will be ministering for the next four days. We were received graciously at Pastor Gomes home for a late lunch.

Genesis 33:12 And he said, Let us take our journey, and let us go, and I will go before thee

Isaiah 58:9 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily:and thy righteousness shall go before thee;the glory of the Lord shall be thy reward.

Thank you, Lord for traveling mercies.

Our Passover Lamb

During Holy Week I invite you to watch my teaching video on “OUR PASSOVER LAMB” It will inspire you and give you some fresh manna to feed on as you see prophecies that were written hundreds of years apart, by authors of all ages and backgrounds, as they were inspired by the Holy Spirit, unfold before your spiritual eyes.

It will leave us with no other conclusion except as the centurion at the foot of the cross declared “Truly this man was the Son of God” Mark 16:39

The Heavy Burdens of The Mind

Screen Shot 2016-03-25 at 9.44.16 AM

In India women do all the carrying of gravel, sand, cement. These precious ladies work all day in 100 degree weather carrying bricks or sand on their heads to the construction sight for only 40 rupees a day that is a mere 60cents!

The Lord used this as a window to my soul. I was reminded of the heavy burdens we carry on our heads in our minds, often in the 100 degree weather of fiery trials to the construction sight of our lives where we will earn not a mere 60 cents a day, but rather a life full of stress, condemnation and hopelessness.

Instead we should carry these thoughts of condemnation, hurt, disappointment and worthlessness, which weigh on our minds much heavier than the bricks these Indian ladies are carrying, to the construction sight of the Cross where we can exchange them for the Helmet of Salvation as God reconstructs our lives with forgiveness, mercy, peace and joy.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world:but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.

Ephesians 6:16-17 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart:and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light

Come Apart And Rest Awhile

Today we were supposed to take a 4hour cab ride to Mysore Palace for the day but not getting back until 11pm. We decided to cancel to just catch our breath and relax before a busy weekend. I have been invited to speak tomorrow in a 30 minute slot at an all city rally whose topic is “Be Prepared To Meet Your God” Praying for inspiration to use this opportunity wisely. After the rally we have a service in the evening. Then on Sunday we have two services at different locations. Needless to say we had to come apart and rest awhile today. Besides I’m wearing a saree at the rally and it will probably take me all day to practice fitting it. LOL We may even treat ourselves to High Tea at the beautiful Taj Hotel. Only I would find a place for High Tea even in Bangalore India. LOL

Mark 6:31 Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while:for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat

The Life Hidden In A Journal

thumb_IMG_0597_1024

We had the privilege to visit, pray and try to comfort this precious couple in their home last night.

They have an amazing testimony of how they came to Christ. Last year they lost their twenty-five year old daughter in a car accident. She had become a dedicated believer and journaled everyday her time with God. When she died they found her journal, which her mother is holding so preciously, and read where she prayed for her parents to come to know Christ. As they read of God’s love for their daughter which filled the pages of the journal, God opened their hearts to His love for them and they surrendered their lives to Jesus. Please pray for them even as you read this because not only are they grieving the loss of their daughter but also the loss of their family, even their son, because they have become Christians.

May this story remind you to journal your time with God for you never know where or when God will use it. If their daughter had not left the legacy of this journal they may never have seen God’s great love.

John 12:24 Except a grain of wheat fall into the earth and die, it abideth by itself alone; but if it die, it beareth much fruit.
