Leaving Footprints

IMG_4955

Only a few days ago I was stepping into the beautiful Pacific Ocean and walking on warm sands of the beach at the famous Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego. The hotel of movie stars, presidents and the location of many movies.

And now today I’m stepping into piles of snow and walking on iced packed streets back on the East Coast.

No matter the terrain we walk in life today be it sunny or cold, be it on sand or on snow, we are leaving footprints for others to follow tomorrow.

Remembering as Paul said “Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ” 1 Corinthians 11:1

Sow a Word of Encouragement Today

Today I received an encouraging word from my dear sister in the Lord, Annette Saunders, after she got my book at the Assembly of God International Fellowship conference in San Diego last week. Thank you so much, Annette, for encouraging me to keep keeping on!
Annette writes “My dear beloved sister in Christ- it is with tears in my eyes and layers peeling off my hardened heart that I praise God for the new work He is doing through your book Developing a Secret History With God! I am so overjoyed. Truly words cannot explain. Thank you for allowing the Holy Spirit to use you in the power of the written anointed word. Thank you for your book. I cannot explain how wonderful it is and how it is affecting me. Praise His Holy Name! xo”

Remembering the Sacrifice of So Many

IMG_4960

While in San Diego we visited the historic Midway, aircraft carrier from World War 2. It reminded us of the sacrifice of the British, American and allied troops who gave their lives that we might be free.

In the park there is also the huge iconic statue of the “kiss” made famous from the Times Square celebration of the end of the war.

We couldn’t resist mimicking the “kiss”.

Everything in Sync

Maintaining-garage-door-sensors_04

My Garage door will not shut because the sensors are not lined up and are not in sync. It will shut if I hold the button till it closes but then I can’t get out. The Lord spoke to me and said if I am not in sync will Him yes I will work but not at my full potential and power. Are you in sync with Him today if not get lined up

John 15:4-5 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; so neither can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches:He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same beareth much fruit

After a stop at Starbucks we were off to La Jolla cove to watch the seals and relax admiring the beautiful blue Pacific Ocean with high waves of white surf. Breathtaking! Enjoyed a light lunch at a sidewalk cafe in Del Mar and leisurely toured the little boutiques along the street. Quite charming! The afternoon took us to Mount Soledad where we drove up and up the mountain to the largest cross I’ve ever seen where there is also a war memorial overlooking the city and ocean so far below. So inspiring! The day ended at the Fashion Valley Mall and Macys of course and a meal at PF Chang’s.

The weather was ONLY 75 degrees. How lovely! considering we are going home on Tuesday, if we can get home, to only 3 degrees with 8 inches of snow currently in Pennsylvania.Thank you, Lord, for a wonderful day and a mini break from winter.
