Are You Wrestling with God?

When does surrendering lead to victory and blessing?

Unknown-2

The story of Jacob reads almost like an oxymoron.

“In Genesis 32, we read of Jacob’s wrestle with God. Jacob surrenders after God touches the hallow of his thigh. Now this may have looked like a defeat in the physical realm but God declares: thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed (Genesis 32:28). So in losing in the flesh, Jacob actually won in the spiritual realm to be blessed.” Excerpt from “Developing A Secret History With God” page 200.

Win that victory by living the words of the old hymn:

I surrender all, all to thee my Blessed Savior I surrender all!

Who Will Win the Battle Today in Your Life?

images-10

As the Lenten season begins, we look forward to commemorate the victory of the greatest war ever fought through the glorious resurrection of our Lord, may we be reminded that we must die daily to self that He might be resurrected in us. We all want to see victory in the battle between the flesh and the spirit. But as with any war there are many battles and we only win one battle at a time. In order to have a victory either the flesh or the spirit will have to die. Who will be the victor in our daily battles today? The flesh or the spirit?

Galatians 5:17 For the flesh against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh:and these are contrary the one to the other.

Your Heavenly Papa is Proud of You!

Happy birthday, Kathleen Elizabeth! You have graduated into a beautiful powerful woman of God! We are so proud to be called your Mum and Dad!

Graduation is not only on the academical level in school and college where we grow up mentally and pass tests but also in the tests of life that God permits that spiritually we may mature.

As we graduate through these lessons of life how proud our heavenly Papa is of his children just as He was of Job “And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that God, and shuns evil?” Job 1:8

Kathleen, as your earthly parents we are also so proud of you as is your heavenly Papa through all the testings you have gone through and how you have graduated to be a great wife and awesome mother creating a home of peace, harmony and beauty.

And now as you graduate to another year of your life you have graduated to the Worship and Arts Pastor at LifeAustin. We know with God’s grace and anointing you will also excel in that area also as You walk with the King and continue to be a blessing

From Tent to Mansion

In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. (John 14:2,3—KJV)

Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling, because when we are clothed, we will not be found naked. For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. (2 Corinthians 5:1-4)

I believe that the “eternal house” of a believer will be the glorified, imperishable, immortal body which will “clothe” the believer’s spirit and soul for eternity. A believer’s present “body of death” /tent (Romans 7:24b), indeed, will be transformed into, or “swallowed up” by (1 Corinthians 15:54; 2 Corinthians 5:4), his/her resurrection body (1 Corinthians 15:42-44). That everlasting body will be at least as much superior to a physical, earthly body as a mansion is greater than a tent. It will be a perfect, glorious body, made in heaven, with which each of us will be clothed, and in which we will dwell, happily serving God eternally.

No more sickness or pain , I pray you get this picture and realize what awaits us . Praise God   JLB.

Celebrating the Gift of Love

As we celebrate St.Valentine’s Day this week remembering our romantic love for our significant other let us not forget the love of family, friends and the unconditional love of our heavenly Father. We celebrated the love and appreciation of our dear friends Gene and Judi Boyer, whom God brought into our lives, with a small intimate dinner party at our home a few days ago. This week do not forget all the love that envelopes your life as a gift of His love extended to you.
