As the church celebrates Epiphany we think of the Magi who kept seeking until they found the Christ Child. As you read the story in the gospels you will find that after they found Him they determine in their hearts not to journey back the same way they came! May this Christmas have given us all a fresh epiphany of the Christ Child to cause us to walk a different way as we enter 2018.
In the Old Testament HE was tabernacled in the Holy of Holies.
Exodus 25:22 And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony.
In the New Testament HE was tabernacled in flesh and dwelt among us.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us.
Today HE still dwells among us tabernacled in the heart of the believer.
1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you.
Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock:if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
He comes bearing gifts of pardon, forgiveness, reconciliation, grace, mercy, peace, joy, and everlasting life. It is the only gift that truly keeps on giving.
When you give someone your time you are investing your life in them.
When you give someone your love you are investing your heart in them.
