We Are All A Unique Creation

My beautiful picture

Happy birthday to my beautiful twin daughters who will be 50 years young on Sunday. As you can see from the photo they are like peas in a pod! Even as their mother it is almost impossible for me to guess who is who? But to their heavenly Father who formed them in my womb they were not only wonderfully made but also uniquely made.

The finger print of God on their lives is as unique as their individual finger prints. Praising God for blessing the fruit of my womb and His calling on each of their lives as they serve Him not as one entity but in their separate individual personalities.

CHALLENGE: You may look exactly like someone else but you were not created to be just like someone else. You have a unique purpose!

Age is Only a State of Mind

Here comes the beautiful bride – that we all would look this glowing at 80 years young!

A Spiritual Lesson from Attending my First Shabbat

I was so impacted by my first Shabbat service with Mel and Lucy the day before their wedding.

I was really inspired by the awesome reverence and respect given to the handling and reading of the Torah. It left an indelible mark on my soul as it humbled the heart in silent awe as the spirit witnessed as never before this really is the Holy Word of the Living God!

In the eye of the spirit I could see Luke 4:17 vividly come alive.

Jesus went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down.

Attending the Wedding Rehearsal for our dear friends Dr. Mel and Lucy Swartz who are proving it’s never too late to fall in love. I am so honored and excited to be invited to do the blessing at their Jewish Wedding ceremony tomorrow.

Remembering My Mother on Her Birthday

thumb_IMG_1008_1024

It has been 26 years today since my mother went to be with the Lord. Time is a funny thing for it seems just like yesterday and yet it also seems like a lifetime ago. I believe when God sets eternity in our hearts we often experience time as He does.

For as 2 Peter 3:8 tells us that “one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day”.

Thank you, Mum, not only for the spiritual legacy you left us but also the large biological legacy with a part of yourself invested in each eleven of us.

If you are fortunate to still have your mother invest time with her for that lost time will never restore the emptiness nor fill that void once she is gone.
