While we must have a spirit of power towards the enemy,
A spirit of love towards men,
But most of all we must have a spirit of self-control towards ourselves.
Watchmen Nee

My special oasis where I meet with God every day where He refreshes my soul with living water. A garden filled with the beauty and fragrance not only of His creation but also His presence. Reminds me of the lyrics of the old gospel song:
I come to the garden alone,
While the dew is still on the roses,
And the voice I hear, falling on my ear,
The Son of God discloses.
And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own,
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.
He speaks, and the sound of His voice,
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,
And the melody that He gave to me,
Within my heart is ringing.
And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own,
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.

Having had the honor to serve in the Women’s Royal Air Force I realize the sacrifice of so many at home and abroad in order that we might be free. This Memorial Day may we remember and honor those that have paid and are paying the price for our freedom, many of whom have paid the ultimate price. It may be a gift but remember to give thanks to those who are paying for that gift of freedom by being willing to lay down their lives.
Never abuse or take for granted your national freedom.
A sobering word to those who would speak out in condemnation against our military, just remember it was their sacrifice that paid for you to have the freedom to speak out against them.
FREEDOM IS NEVER FREE!
This brings to remembrance the ultimate price that was paid for our spiritual freedom by His willingness to lay down of His life on Calvary. Remember to thank Him for this gift of spiritual freedom.
2 Corinthians 9:15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.
John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed
A sobering word to those who would speak out against the Lord, just remember He was the one who gave you the freedom to accept or reject His Sacrifice of Love.
Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve;:but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord
Never abuse or take for granted your spiritual freedom.
Galatians 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh.
FREEDOM IS NEVER FREE
You may have never served in the military but remember, as believers, we are enrolled in the army of the Lord. One day we may be required to lay down our lives for His Kingdom, as many saints who have gone before us, who have paid that price for a martyr’s crown. We need to be trained in spiritual warfare for that battle is a much greater battle than we can see with our physical eyes.
Ephesians 6:12-18 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
2 Timothy 2:3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called.
FREEDOM IS NEVER FREE
CHALLENGE: Are you enrolled in the Lord’s army or are you absent without leave? He is calling you today for active duty!
1 John 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us:and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

In Loving Memory of Eleanor Alpha March 26, 1924 – May 19, 2016
I would like to leave you with an excerpt from the Eulogy which I shared yesterday at Eleanor’s funeral service.
I’m sure everyone has seen the movie “It’s a Wonderful Life” where the main character George Bailey wonders what the world would have been like if he had never been born.
Well, consider for a moment what the world would have been like if Eleanor had never been born. There would never have been all these wonderful children, 22 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren and all the contributions that their lives have and will make to this world.
I think of her son, Bobby’s life which God used as an instrument to lead Pastor Randy to the love of God.
Without Eleanor there would have been no Bobby.
Without Bobby, Randy may not have come to know God
And without Pastor Randy there would no Life Church
I think of her daughter, Ruthie’s life and Restoration Life for all those women in need.
Without Eleanor there would have been no Ruthie.
And without Ruthie there would be no Restoration Life Center
Without the Restoration Life Center there would be no hope for those women in need.
Just using these as examples of this ONE WONDERFUL LIFE that has left this world a better place by
A Woman Who Walked With God.
