Do You Have An Attitude of Gratitude?

If your life was played out on the stage of a department store where would you be lining up?
Page 138 of “Developing a Secret History with God” exhorts us with this word, “What has eaten away at our attitude of gratitude? Could it be a lack of appreciation, discontentment or complaining? A grateful heart is a soft, pliable heart in the loving hands of the Master Potter. But hearts become cold and hardened when we murmur and complain. Hearts become distant and lukewarm when we stop appreciating all the Lord has done for us. Hearts exchange peace for stress when we become discontented. Where there is true worship there is no complaining.”

The Most Taken For Granted Blessing !

thumb_images-7_1024

We never seem to notice that electrical pulse of our hearts beating continually an average of 80 beats per minute, that’s about 4,800 times per hour, until it goes out of rhythm, like mine did several years ago. Now after surgeries and a stroke I thank God in my journal everyday for a steady sinus rhythm heartbeat when I spend time alone with Him.

We should be grateful for every heartbeat! That’s a whopping 115,200 times per day to be THANKFUL!

Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing:for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Who Moved ?

We often question why God seems so distant, but guess what, God has not moved, rather it is we who have distanced ourselves from the warmth of His presence and replaced it with the coldness of the reality of the circumstances.

Have You Had An EKG Of Your Spiritual Heart Lately?

Screen Shot 2016-05-18 at 11.01.33 PM

I was spending time with God today contemplating my  heart surgery three years ago to ablate the electrical impulses which were backfiring and causing my heart to go out of sinus rhythm and draining me of energy.
As I was reading Psalm 27 God used my current situation as a parable to help me understand verse 2 on a deeper level.
Psalm 27:2 Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.
“Dear Child,
Reins lead and guide you, they motivate your intentions, actions and words.
When I examine your heart I look deep into the motivation which is the energy of your spiritual heart.
Does it beat in sinus rhythm with My will or is it out of rhythm backfiring against My will draining you of spiritual power and energy.
When it beats in sinus rhythm with my heart you will rise up like an eagle and not be weary nor faint.” Thus saith Papa

CHALLENGE: When was the last time you ask the Lord to give your heart a spiritual EKG?
