A WORD FOR TODAY FROM “ SCREWTAPE LETTERS”
Surely God inspired C.S.Lewis in 1942 to write this following word of prophecy in his book “Screwtape Letters”.
(Satan) “I will cause anxiety, fear and panic. I will shut down business, schools, places of worship, and sports events. I will cause economic turmoil.”
(Jesus) “I will bring together neighbors, restore the family unit, I will bring dinner back to the kitchen table. I will help people slow down their lives and appreciate what really matters. I will teach my children to rely on me and not the world. I will teach my children to trust me and not their money and material resources.”
Is this really from CS Lewis Screwtape Letters? I couldn’t find it there. Thank you.
This quote is not in Screwtape Letters. If you find where it is actually written, please re-post. I would like to know if CS Lewis really wrote it, but can’t find any proof that he did.
I have searched Screwtape Letters and can’t find this quote. Is it really from Lewis? Or is it a paraphrase.?The English doesn’t sound like him.
Please confirm your source as to where exactly where in The Screwtape Letters this quote is to be found. Certainly not in my version.
What chapter is this from?
I want to use the above citation in a staff devotion but I cannot find it in The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis. Do you know what chapter is it in?
Thank you.

I just sent this out, and my Granddaughter said she had not recalled reading this in the Screwtape Letters. I checked with Snopes and it said it was unverified It has been so long since I read the Screwtape Letters that I have no idea if it is legit or not.
Can you site where this is written in The Screwtape Letters?
