Go Ye Into All The World

What an awesome missionary convention we had in Phoenix Arizona this past week!

We all met to fellowship and encourage each other in the Lord from countries all around the globe, Africa, India, China, Romania, Greece, Peru, Mexico, Russia, Philippines, just to name a few. Yet a theme that united each speaker’s message through the avenue of various topics was the urgency of this time in history in which we have the privilege to live. Surely God was warning us all by His Spirit that the day is late and we must redeem the time NOW by:

Strengthen our own personal spiritual root structure

Be filled with the Holy Spirit

It is no longer a time to talk about going BUT rather a time to go!!!

John 4:35-38 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

As speakers, evangelists and missionaries from all over the world disperse to their assigned vineyards our hearts are so full of challenges, fresh vision and anointing to fulfill the great commission in these last days.IMG_0378

CHALLENGE:

Dear Child, Stressful and perilous times are coming on this earth. It will get worse and worse as you see the end coming. That is why My people must strengthen their root structure today, that they will not fall away as the heat of trials is turned up in these last days. Your root structure is your life source to Me, for I am the True Vine. It is essential if you are to survive the days that are coming on the earth. Develop and strengthen this root structure while it is still day!

A warning from Papa!

When Not To Answer!

I keep the telephone of my mind open to faith, peace, harmony, health, and love. Then, whenever doubt, anxiety or fear try to call me, they keep getting a busy signal – and soon they’ll forget my number.

Philippians 4:7  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things

Your Heavenly Papa is Proud of You!

Happy birthday, Kathleen Elizabeth! You have graduated into a beautiful powerful woman of God! We are so proud to be called your Mum and Dad!

Graduation is not only on the academical level in school and college where we grow up mentally and pass tests but also in the tests of life that God permits that spiritually we may mature.

As we graduate through these lessons of life how proud our heavenly Papa is of his children just as He was of Job “And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that fears God, and shuns evil?” Job 1:8

Kathleen, as your earthly parents, we are also so proud of you, as is your heavenly Papa through all the testings you have gone through and how you have graduated to be a great wife and awesome mother creating a home of peace, harmony and beauty.

And now as you graduate to another year of your life you have graduated to the Worship and Arts Pastor at LifeAustin. We know with God’s grace and anointing you will excel in that area also as You walk with the King and continue to be a blessing!

The Impact Of A Grandmother’s Love

Remembering the love and faith of my maternal grandmother, Annie Reynolds, who passed away on February 14th. 1956 at the young age of just 56. The smell of early spring hyacinths always opens the window of my memory and takes me back as she had hyacinths in her hospital room. I was only 13 when she died but those few years had a huge impact spiritually on my Christian walk and who I am today.

Grandparents, never underestimate the impact you have on your grandchildren. Grandchildren, appreciate the love and wisdom of your grandparents while you still have them.

Be Good Forgivers

I have been sowing some seeds from the fruit of our 50 years to inspire others in their marriage. I have already addressed:

1. Keep communication lines open
2. Keep the romance alive
Now today I would like to share:
3. Be good forgivers
It is well said in the following quote:
A happy marriage is the union of two good forgivers. ~Ruth Bell Graham
We make a commitment for BETTER or for WORSE! In SICKNESS and in HEALTH!
By God’s grace, I have lived through some of that WORST due to betrayal so I do understand hurt and shame but have learned that although to sin may be human, to forgive is only divine. Is it easy? – absolutely not – but with God’s grace it is possible.
Anyone can live with the BETTER but when it comes to the WORST many walk away even though “for better or for worse” was in the contract.
Likewise anyone can deal with health but many fail when it comes to sickness even though that was also in the same contract we agreed to.
Gary Thomas has written an awesome book on marriage “Sacred marriage” where he states -“what if God designed marriage to make us holy more than to make us happy?” Now isn’t that some food for thought! If we are never hurt how are we ever going to learn to forgive? Please note I am not excusing the offender but I do know God can use that pain for good. Nothing is more humbling than seeking forgiveness or offering forgiveness. Something of self has to die. Humility is the hardest of all Christian virtues to become. I say become because humility is not something we do but rather it is something we are becoming. Only when we are humbled will God gave us His grace toforgive.
“You can never be happily married to another until you get a divorce from yourself. Successful marriage demands a certain death to self.” ~Jerry McCant
Heed the verse “Do not let the sun go down on your wrath” Ephesians 4:26 In doing so we are not giving the enemy any place to in our marriages.
“In a time when nothing is more certain than change, the commitment of two people to one another has become difficult and rare.Yet, by its scarcity, the beauty and value of this exchange have only been enhanced.” ~Robert Sexton
It is always good to renew that marriage contract from time to time just to remind us of the promises in the contract which we signed. We have renewed that contract both on our 40th and 45th anniversaries. On both occasions I have carried the same white Bible I carried on my wedding day back in 1964 whose promises are ever faithful and have never changed.
