Attitude of Gratitude

Since I’ve had some toe joint problems I can no longer wear the latest fashion in shoes. Being someone who enjoys fashion I’ve often thought “oh! if only I could wear those beautiful shoes.” Having suffered a stroke 18 months ago and unable to walk I now can be soooo thankful that I can walk again regardless of my footwear. “Lord, may we all be lifted to an attitude of gratitude today” Amen

Metamorphosis

Let today be the day you give up who you’ve been for who you can become.

images-4

2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord

“In this scripture the Greek for ‘changed’ is ‘metamorphosis’ which literally means a change in form and a change in character. A fine example would be the unexplainable metamorphosis of a beautiful butterfly emerging from the dying shell of a caterpillar. Likewise it is in our secret time with God that we will emerge from our dying self-life to a brand new creation, a metamorphosis by the power of God.”

Cinderella Story

Look what I saw while visiting San Antonio Texas yesterday? Pumpkins really do turn into Cinderella carriages and believe or not there are “Happily ever after stories”.

If the mind of a  fantasy pen can script a romantic coach out of a pumpkin then surely the Hand of  the Master Potter, who is love and the creator of love, can mold  a “Happily Ever After Story” out of broken lives.

Are You Wrestling with God?

When does surrendering lead to victory and blessing?

Unknown-2

The story of Jacob reads almost like an oxymoron.

“In Genesis 32, we read of Jacob’s wrestle with God. Jacob surrenders after God touches the hallow of his thigh. Now this may have looked like a defeat in the physical realm but God declares: thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed (Genesis 32:28). So in losing in the flesh, Jacob actually won in the spiritual realm to be blessed.” Excerpt from “Developing A Secret History With God” page 200.

Win that victory by living the words of the old hymn:

I surrender all, all to thee my Blessed Savior I surrender all!
