Supporting Each Other In Ministry

Attending a Ladies’ Tea Party on Saturday to support the ministry of Truth for Women and hear a message from their President, Kim Checkeye, to exhort us to follow the calling which God has sovereignly placed on each of our lives that we may make a difference in one life at a time.

1 Corinthians 3:8 He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor. For we are God’s fellow workers

With Pastor Jim Greco and his wife Beth who is the director of the Walter Hoving Rehab Home where they are currently housing and ministering hope to 75 broken lives. A great service where 27 women responded to the message. Praise the Lord!

The Humble Boldness of Saint Patrick

In the year 432, Patrick returned to Ireland again, as a result of his obedience to the voice of God. On his arrival Patrick humbly and courageously presents himself and the gospel to the heathen Druid chieftain, whom he had escaped from years before.

This chieftain named Dichu became his first convert and he offered Patrick, the pick of any of his land for the site of Patrick’s first church. Patrick chose a situation high on the mountains of County Down, from where Patrick could see much of Ireland spread out before him. It was from here that Patrick carried out the great commission for the next thirty years of his life, where the influence of his ministry expanded to the mainland of Scotland, England and Wales and even much of Europe.

How Rich Are You?

It has often been said “Money might make you wealthy, but friends make you rich.”

Genesis 2:18 It is not good that man should be alone.

We were created to be social beings needing the company of each other.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow:but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.

Friends are God’s way of taking care of you.

Proverbs 18:24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly.

In turn you can be God’s Hand extended to others.

C.S. Lewis defined it so well “Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art… It has no survival value;

but rather it is one of those things that give value to survival.”

Having the Courageous Faith of a Crocus

Genesis 8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

As the snow piles higher we grow weary of plowing our driveways and scraping our car windows, feeling almost imprisoned with cabin fever.

And yet we have an inner hope based on God’s Word, regardless of the weather channel which keeps forecasting more snow, that spring is on its way as we see the first crocus bravely pop its head through the snow.

Unknown-1

If you are going through a winter season in your life and growing weary as circumstances pile high and you feel almost imprisoned in your current situation have the courage like the crocuses to keep pressing through. I want to encourage you today that in your life spring is also on its way. Just as sure as we reflect during Lent on Good Friday we can also be just as sure that Resurrection Sunday is on its way!

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation:but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
