The Enemy’s Prison of Condemnation

Arrow-Image-Oliver-Imprisoned

Dear Child,

If you adhere to my chastisement  through conviction there will be no avenue or foothold for the enemy to drown you in condemnation and rob you of the joy of your salvation. Do not give place to him, for he goes about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour and destroy.

Conviction is the voice of the conscience by the Holy Spirit.

Condemnation is self destructive thoughts of the mind from the enemy.

Conviction is a warning that provides a choice and healing.

Condemnation offers only hopelessness with no healing but rather an incurableness.

There is hope in Christ Jesus!

There is healing in Christ Jesus!

There is forgiveness in Christ Jesus!

There is mercy in Christ Jesus!

He came into the world NOT to condemn it but to save it.

I send conviction because I love you!

The enemy sows condemnation because he wants to destroy you!

Conviction will mature you!

Condemnation will destroy you!

Thus saith Papa

John 3:17  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Romans 8:1  There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Challenge: If your conscience is clear before God, do not let the enemy rob you of the joy of your salvation. If there is an outstanding offense on your conscience, confess it to God, that the enemy may not have a hold over you.

Pathway to Maturity

images-5
Dear Child,

To lose life in the flesh, is to find life in the spirit.

The cross is self-denial, and doing that which I have ordained for you.

The cross is the key to obedience.

Obedience is the key to maturity

Maturity is the key to conformity to the image of My Son.

Take up the cross for the cross is the way to death of the flesh.

Don’t try to save that which satisfies the flesh for if it is starved it will die.

If it dies you will find spiritual resurrection and power

Thus saith Papa

Mat 10:38-39 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

Luke 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

Heb 5:8 -9 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

There is no easy, painless path to maturity, the flesh must be crucified by daily taking up the cross.

We will never learn obedience without daily taking up our cross.

We will never mature without obedience.

We will never be conformed to His image without maturity.

Challenge: Which area of your old fleshly nature needs to be crucified by taking up the cross of self-denial in that area? Then you can state with conviction, “ Not my will but thine be done!”

Bringing Balance to the New Year by Rightly Dividing the Word

Screen Shot 2014-01-06 at 8.49.41 PM

Dear Child,

If this day is not in balance, your week, month and year will not be in balance. Meet the needs of body, soul and spirit everyday, to mature to a whole person, living not only in harmony with Me but also with yourself. If you live in harmony, you will have the peace that passes understanding. To be healthy and strong in body, soul and spirit, you need balance in all roles and responsibilities of your life. Do all things in moderation. I need a whole person.

You are a steward of all I have given you, be a good steward of all I have placed in your care. You will have time for all I want of you, if you live a balanced life, and seek first My Kingdom.

                                  Thus saith Papa

Philippians 4:5  Let your moderation be known unto all men.

WHAT IS BALANCE ?

Balance brings steadiness and stability to all areas of our lives especially when we“rightly divide the Word of Truth” 2Tim.2:15. If we neglect to spend time studying and rightly dividing the Word, we will loose our balance, which could result in a fall!

The following are examples to give you some food for thought.

SOCIAL LIFE:-

Proverbs 18:24  A man that hath friends must show himself friendly:

Proverbs 25:17  Withdraw thy foot from thy neighbour’s house; lest he be weary of thee, and so hate thee.

Are the above scriptures contradictions? No! They are teaching us balance!

MINISTRY:-

Galatians 6:9  And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Mark 6:31  And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

Are the above scriptures contradictions? No! They are teaching us balance!

WORK ETHIC:-

Ecclesiastics.3:13  And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.

Mark 8:36  For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

Are the above scriptures contradictions? No! They are teaching us balance!

FULFILLING YOUR DESTINY:-

Jeremiah 29:11  For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.

Proverbs 27:1  Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.

Are the above scriptures contradictions? No! They are teaching us balance!

HOLINESS OR LEGALISM:-

Exodus 20:8 – 11  Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work……

John 5:16-17 And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day. But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

Are the above scriptures contradictions? No! They are teaching us balance!

Surely the best scripture to teach us balance is:

Ecclesiastics 3:1 – 8 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

This is a New Year offering you the opportunity to live a healthy balanced life meeting the nutritional needs of body, soul and spirit! Many people seem to think that success in one area can compensate for failure in other areas of life. But can it really? Can success in your profession compensate for a broken marriage, ruined health, or weakness in personal character? True effectiveness requires balance.

CHALLENGE: Don’t try to burn the candle at both ends!

Psalm127: 2 It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives sleep to his beloved.

In what areas of your life do you lack balance, which is robbing you of peace and harmony within?

Walking by Faith in Your Wintery Season

IMG_1765

At this season of the year when the earth is blanketed in snow and ice, I am amazed as I consider the ugly  tulip and daffodil bulbs that are frozen under the soil which will soon sprout and bear beautiful flowers of hope as the earth is rejuvenated during spring time. And even in the dead of winter when shivering hope appears to be frozen God gives a glimmer of hope as the snowdrops pop their heads bravely through the fallen snow. Oh the joy of seeing that first fragile yet hardy snowdrop – what a wonderful window to our souls of His desire to feed our faith to believe for brighter days. I thank God for His faithfulness in the seasons and look forward in faith to the spring.

Dear Child,

I am also faithful in the seasons of your life! Each season has its own unique beauty and purpose, the same is true with the seasons of your life. The same is true in the ministry of your life.

A time to believe in naked faith, a time to sow, a time to water and tend the potential harvest, and then a time of reward and reaping! The winter season is a time of hidden dormancy on the surface, but oh! under the surface what preparation is going on to burst to life in the spring! Be prepared for the spring! child.

Every season of your life has its own winter of faith, planting time in spring, watering time in summer, and reaping time in the fall. But this winter time of dormancy and darkness without any fruit, is when you must walk by faith and trust my hand to be working in My sovereignty under the surface, to bring beauty to your life in the spring!

You trust me with the seasons of the earth, trust me with the seasons of your life!

                                                              Thus saith Papa

Ecclesiastes 3:1  To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

Hebrews 11:1 Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

WINTER — The Season of FAITH

SPRING  — The Season of HOPE

SUMMER —The Season of LABOR

AUTUMN — The Season of FRUITFULNESS

CHALLENGE: If you are in the season of a fruitless winter, in faith hold unto hope, don’t give up, spring is on its way, for He is faithful!

The Road To Integrity And Balance in 2016

Screen Shot 2016-01-06 at 2.49.45 PM

Many talk of New Year’s resolutions but very few follow through on them.

This leaves us disillusioned and trusting ourselves a little less. Instead of the resolution bringing us some order and peace, as we think that we now have some solution and some control over problems in our lives, it brings us disappointment in ourselves, hopelessness and added stress. This hopelessness and stress is due to not living in harmony with ourselves, realizing we lack integrity when it comes to making a promise to ourselves! The more we lie to ourselves the easier it becomes because we stop believing ourselves and the voice of the conscience becomes quieter and quieter.

How many New Years have you been breaking promises you have made to yourself? We are creatures of habit, so the more we do it the easier it becomes! Without integrity, we are a divided person because “integrity” means a quality or state of being complete and undivided. When we make a resolution in haste while our hearts are saying “no way!” we have become a divided person. To have a heart of integrity we must say what we mean and mean what we say! Shakespeare said it well “To thine own self be true”. When we are not true to ourselves, our consciences convict us. But what do we do with that conviction? If we ignore it or try to drown it out with activity or entertainment, so that we don’t have to spend time alone with our inner selves, that voice of conscience will become quieter and quieter, until we have no integrity left. With that integrity will go our peace because we have come to a place where we no longer live in harmony with our own conscience.

1Timothy 1:19  Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:

Our world is searching for answers but they are looking for answers from real, authentic people with integrity. I dare to say that if we have not integrity within our own beings, it is very likely that we will not be able to authenticate our Christian walk to others. If we break promises and lie to ourselves, it is more likely we will break promises and lie to others because we will have silenced the voice of our conscience.

For the year 2016 the Lord has impressed upon my heart to grow in INTEGRITY and be a whole person, body, soul and spirit. In order to be that whole person I need BALANCE in each area of my being, body, soul and spirit. But it will involve external discipline. Moving along this upward spiral requires us to LEARN, COMMIT, and DO on increasingly higher planes. We deceive ourselves if we think that any one of these is sufficient. To keep progressing, we must LEARN, COMMIT, and DO – LEARN, COMMIT, and DO again…..In other words “Sharpen the Saw”. This year promise yourself that you will not be “all talk” but keep your word to yourself.

E.g. To be in the Word continually with a “just me and God” mentality is out of balance. God created us as social beings to interact with each other. In fact it is through our relationships that our spiritual walk is tested as we respond to each other. You cannot live as a hermit Christian. That would be as foolish as cutting off your hand and expecting it to function without the rest of your body. We, as believers, individually are only a part of the Body, to function we need to be associated with the other parts of the Body. We need each other! On the other hand to be a social butterfly with a “too busy for time alone with God” mentality is also out of balance. Jesus died to restore that which was lost in the Garden, our fellowship with God. Even ministry, if it keeps us from time alone with God, can be out of balance. We all must have time to be a “Mary” but also find the time to be a “Martha”.

We were also created as mental beings with reasoning and choice. As it has been said, “ A mind is a terrible thing to waste”. If we are feeding our minds on destructive and poisonous material via our choice of reading material or television programs, we are wasting this God given attribute. This is as destructive to the mind as feeding the body with poisonous food. Feed your mind on a healthy, balanced diet of the Word of God, but also be open to “windows to your soul” just in everyday living, through enjoying reading, art, music, television and movies. Finally train your mind to think on the “good things” and bring every thought into the captivity of Christ.

We should also be good stewards of our bodies. We need to exercise and eat healthy, because if we do not look after our bodies, we will have nowhere to live! But if that time to exercise is at the expense of time to spend with family and friends or at the expense of our time alone with God, it is in excess and out of balance.

CHALLENGE: As a step towards this assignment of pursuing integrity and balance, I want to encourage each of us to make one realistic commitment to ourselves in each of the three areas of our being, spirit, soul and body.

1. What one thing are you willing to commit to do in 2016 to mature spiritually?

**********

2. What are you willing to commit to do in 2016 to improve your soul being in each of the following attributes of your soul? Your soul being is your emotions, your mind and your relationship to others.

a) What one thing are you willing to commit to do in to improve your emotional well being?

b) What one thing are you willing to commit to do to develop your mind?

c) What one thing are you willing to commit to do to grow socially?

**********

3. What one thing are you willing to commit to do in 2016 to take better care of your body?

**********

1 Thessalonians 5:23  And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
