BACKGROUND:

Margaret Bass, the eldest of 11 children, was born in Aberdeen Scotland and raised in war-torn Belfast, Northern Ireland. She met her husband, John while both were serving in the Royal Air Force in England. Margaret and John have been married for 50 years, and God has blessed them with three beautiful daughters who dedicated their lives spreading the gospel through music, since Kathleen the youngest was 10 and her twin sisters were 14. Professionally they were known as the “Heartbeats” The girls recorded 6 albums with several national hit songs. Kathleen was a reigning female vocalist for 1990-1991 on the national TV show “Star Search” with Ed McMann.

The year 1972 saw this family at their lowest, with the pressure a life of emigration brings, with a marriage being pulled asunder and illnesses, but the year 1972 also saw the same family rise to the potential God intends, as they surrendered their lives and future to God.

They saw a marriage healed, Margaret’s body miraculously healed, and the ground work was being laid for the future ministry God would call their daughters to, as the children were now being brought up in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
Margaret has spent most of her married life as a full time homemaker and mother. For ten years the whole family traveled as an evangelistic team sharing the goodness of God through song, word and testimony, keeping a schedule of approximately 100 dates per year.
Now that the girls have grown up, God has multiplied our family ministry. The girls continue to minister for the Lord. Angela and her husband Jeff Buchanan travel and work for the ministry “Exodus” located in Orlando Florida. Kathleen and her husband David Estes pastor in Northern Virginia just outside Washington D.C. Patsy lives in Nashville Tennessee, teaches and leads worship in her home church, serves in a prison ministry and travels part time to minister in Nepal and India.
I have been teaching at my home church, continuing my freelance writing and traveling to minister the Word through any door that God sees fit to open.
