Before leaving for Coimbatore early Wednesday morning we enjoy our last breakfast in the hotel we’ve called home for the past 10 days. For the first time we shared a table with other guests sharing the goodness of the Lord and to our surprise find out they were believers. Never thought I’d be witnessing and taking a photo without a hairdo and makeup LOL. Shows we need to be ready in season and out of season to share the hope that is within us!
We leave Bangalore saying a sad au revoir to Pastor Frederick who has been so gracious to us. He was supposed to travel in the cab with us to ensure we arrived safely at our next destination. But unfortunately his mother became very ill during the night and rushed to hospital. The Lord was so good to us for we find our cab driver not only speaks English but is a believer.
It was a six hour ride and we watched with interest as we passed rice fields, coconut palm orchards, goat farms, monkeys on the side of the road and signs warning of “Elephant Crossings” as the terrain became more mountainous. We passed hundreds of scooters with several passengers.
We stop after three hours for a mini break at a beautiful hotel, and arrive in Coimdatore three hours later. Our cab driver had some problem getting direction to our destination as he didn’t speak the local language! There are at least 28 main languages in India as there are 28 states each having their own languages with many different dialects. Local pastors told us this makes the spread of the gospel more difficult.
We eventually arrive safely at our destination where we will be ministering for the next four days. We were received graciously at Pastor Gomes home for a late lunch.
Genesis 33:12 And he said, Let us take our journey, and let us go, and I will go before thee
Isaiah 58:9 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily:and thy righteousness shall go before thee;the glory of the Lord shall be thy reward.
Thank you, Lord for traveling mercies.
