Experiencing Dehli

thumb_IMG_0881_1024

Feeling out of place as we wait for our luggage at Delhi Airport. In case you can’t find me, I’m the only blonde LOL. After we check in to our hotel we make our way to try and find a pharmacy as my throat is very sore.

We really tested the Lord as we in faith tried to cross streets in unbelievable traffic with no side walks or traffic lights, just a free for all, with people everywhere and parents sending small children dressed in rags to tug at your clothes and heart begging for money. And we think Times Square is busy?

In the middle of all this confusion there was a Nigerian diplomatic Rolls Royce right next to the Indian rickshaw with someone begging. Quite an extreme!

After finding our “Medical Store” and buying some throat lozenges we decide to ride a rickshaw back to the hotel maybe that would be safer! The driver asked John if I was a drug addict because he knew we were looking for a “Medical Store” LOL It may have been safer to walk back! All part of the Indian experience.

Celebrating Easter in Coimbatore India

thumb_IMG_0851_1024

I was expertly draped in my saree by Pastor Gomes’ wife before leaving for the Easter service. We arrived at a church filled to capacity with the many vibrant colors of all the beautiful sarees not to be outshone with the welcoming smiles and Easter greetings. The aroma of sweet jasmine which many ladies wore in their beautiful long black hair filled the contagious atmosphere.

John and I were officially greeting with the “shawling ceremony” and bouquets of flowers. After John shared a word God had laid on his heart, I shared on the power of the resurrection.

The service was concluded with dancing and singing from every age group in the church and a worship performance from the orphanage children. It was truly an awesome celebration of the Resurrection.

Easter greetings and need for pray surrounded us lovingly as ushers tried to get us out of the crowd to a waiting car. It was hard to say goodbye to all these warm people who became such friends after only four days pf ministry.

Pastor Gomes and the elders joined us for an awesome Easter Buffet at the lovely Regency Hotel.

What an awesome day we will always remember!

A Little Child Shall Lead Them

thumb_IMG_0808_1024

I spent time playing with Pastor Gomes’ little grandson before leaving for the orphanage where less fortunate little boys are loved and cared for. As we visited and ministered at the boys’ orphanage on Saturday we were so inspired and touched as we worshipped with these precious 220 boys aged from 3 or 4 to 16 years old. Their simple childlike faith and sincerity ignited something in our hearts. We were so blessed to witness how well these children are looked after and educated to give them hope for their future and destiny. I just wanted to hug them all!

Please watch the video of the boys singing “Alleluia” on my next Facebook post. You will be blessed!!!

Psalm 10:14 Thou art the helper of the fatherless.

Jeremiah 49:11 Leave thy fatherless children, I will preserve them alive.

Reflecting Together on His Sacrifice

We left for church 10am with Pastor Gomes’ daughter and grandson. The Good Friday service lasted for over four hours and although it was 100 degrees with no air conditioning I couldn’t believe that not one person moved or left during that four hours. In fact after sharing God’s  healing touch and faithfulness to me during the past few years, when I went through five eye surgeries, an eight hour heart surgery, liver poisoning, shoulder surgery, cancer surgery, two bouts of lyme disease, additional heart surgery resulting in a stroke followed by a seizure, there was still a long line in the church of those willing to wait for prayer for healing. We left the church five hours later amazed at this people’s desire to be in God’s presence.

Psalm 122:1 I was glad when they said unto me,

Let us go into the house of the Lord

Faith Comes By Hearing in Coimbatore India

thumb_IMG_0774_1024

Thursday evening I was invited to teach on “The Passover Lamb” preparing reflective hearts for Good Friday. Pastor Moses interpreting not only with his talent of translation but also with the anointing of the spirit. After the service we prayed for many who responded in faith to the Word.
